NOTE: NEXT GAME WILL BE SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 12th
DOUBLE HEADER
GAME 1 RED V WHITE 9:00
GAME 2 GREEN V BLUE 11:30
PETERBILT WINS
Mike Tillison took the mound for the Red. The Blue countered with Kevin Sears. Peterbilt
built a five run lead and it was up to the Nationwide Blue to get the runs back. In the middle of the six, it looked as though
the Blue had a shot. But, a 5 run sixth and a 3 run seventh shut the door on the comeback and Blues hope at a win. Tollison
gets the win. Sears gets the loss. Final score 13 to 6.
DOBBS SPLITS DOUBLE HEADER
The Dobbs White was looking to get a sweep this weekend but came up two runs shy. In the first
game, Kevin Latham held his ground and pitched seven strong innings for the Mek Green. Even though Mek was charged with
5 errors, Dobbs was not able to get the win. The difference in the game, a two run homer by Bo Mcminn. Green wins 6 to 4.
In the second game, the Dobbs White found a much needed offensive surge
in the bottom of the fourth to secure a big win. The game started as a good pictures duel with rookie NIck Harris (WHITE)
and Brady Benjamin (RED) going at it pitch for pitch. The White took advantage of some base on balls opportunities by getting
quality hits when needed in the bottom of the fourth off of Chris Slayton. Peterbilt tried hard but was unable to catch up
to Dobbs. The Final score: Dobbs Ford White 14 Peterbilt Red 5.
